Information Product (IP) & Importance of IP’s

Information Product one kind of gray literature and information container. Information Product contains important information of reader, researcher, teacher and student. But haven’t any specified author, responsible authority and formal publication of Information Product.

Definition: Information Product other then books and journal. This is piece of paper for individual person, institution, society, body and ministry. It has beautifully and well done with attractive. Mainly Information Product is precise and cover specified subject. This is short note of specified subject.

Describe any 03 Information Products: Three Information Products described are Brochure, Workshop and Bibliography.

Brochure: A library brochure is a one kind of IP which works as the mirror of a library. It also highlights the organization. The vision, mission, programs, services and the contract address is shown in the brochure. It may be a piece of paper, typed nicely folded efficiently. Anybody can have a clear idea of the library and the organization through the brochure.

A library brochure is a leaflet. Library Brochures are advertising pieces mainly used to introduce a library, and inform about books and/or services to a target audience. Library Brochures are distributed by mail handed personally or placed in brochure racks.

Workshop: A presentation doesn’t have to be limited to one person. Co-leaders or co-facilitators are not only common, but can greatly expand the possibilities of a given workshop, and can make everyone’s job easier. Each co-leader might be responsible for particular parts of the workshop, or all may work together throughout, depending upon the structure and purpose. In any case, finding one or more co-leaders or co-facilitators is always an option if you’re planning a workshop.

  • They’re time limited,
  • They’re self-contained.

Bibliography: A bibliography is a list of books, articles, and other sources you use when researching a topic and writing a paper. The bibliography will appear at the end of your paper. The bibliography is sometimes called Works Cited or Works Consulted.

Bibliography entries must be written in a very specific format, but that format will depend you the particular style of writing you use. Your teacher will tell you which style to use, and for most school papers these will be either MLA, APA, or Turabian style.

Bibliography entries will include:

Author.
Title of your source.
Publication information.
Date.

These entries should be listed in alphabetical order.

Information Product is hands on or ready made and easy to read and grasp. It helps for technically reading of a book is done by Flyleaf. And directly strike by reader. Information Product is easy to carry or go through with contains the gist of the books. It is may be used as primary source of information.
